Global Alignment & Engine Service performed a 3D measurement on a propulsion gearbox. Through this measurement we compared the dimensions and the parallelity of the bearing positions from the input shaft and the output shaft with the makers machining drawings and tolerances. We also measured the height dimension between the input shaft bores centerline and the output shaft bores. The measurements on board of the vessel were done with our Faro Tracker Arm in combination with Cam2measure 10.
