Global Alignment & Engine Service recently did the alignment check with strain gauges of port and starboard propulsion lines. After receiving the drawings and needed data we made the FEM model of the shaft lines with our modelling program. We calculated the actual alignment and bearing loads in several conditions with the measured strain and find out that all cases where according latest Class requirements.
