Geometric alignment

The term geometric alignment refers to diagnosis, preventive maintenance and installation requirements in special geometric applications. Some examples of geometric alignment are measurements of stern tubes, engine line bores and straightness measurements.

At Global we have specialized alignment engineers that can perform these measurements on-site. With our state of the art laser systems we can measure any deviations in for example straightness or flatness of a foundation surface so accurately that deviations of 0,01 mm are detected. The no-go criteria for these measurements are of course dependent on the specific application and on the requirements of the customer.
