Recently we grinded the crane rails of the on-board crane of a large dredging vessel. Due to the extensive use of the crane the running surface of the crane rails had worn. To refurbish the running surface and obtain parallelism again we grinded the running surface over the full length of 160 meters. For this we had to design and assemble the grinding machine from scratch and ship it to Singapore in a very short time frame. Thanks to good planning, hard work and perfect cooperation with our customer’s technical staff on board, the job was finished within the stated time frame.
